Ever wonder how often your customers shop for scrapbooking supplies? We did—so we asked scrappers to share their shopping habits with us. Here’s how 812 consumers responded to our survey:

Surprised? So were we...especially with that 61% who shop weekly. What does this mean for independent retailers? Sure feels like customers are ready to buy—frequently.

Does this mean you have to bring in new product every week? No, but why not designate a certain product or product line as “This Week’s Special”? Merchandise it on a table or endcap at the front of the store and train customers to check there first for the latest must-have products. You can offer a premium (such as a free layout idea using the product, designed by one of your staff), hold a contest around the product or promote it with a Buy Two, Get One Free offer or 10% off special price.
