Love You Card
By Debbie Samples
Designer Tip: Cover the die-cut heart with red embossing glitter
- Card front: Use a Center Step card as your base. Use the pattern to cover the front center with Hopscotch multi-color circle paper. Mat 7/8”x4” Hopscotch light blue dot paper on red cardstock with 1/16” borders on the long sides. Glue to the side panels.
- Use the cutting dies and machine to cut a large and a small heart from white cardstock. Run back through again with the Texturz Rubber mat to emboss the hearts. Cover with VersaMark™ ink, and dust with Red Glitz embossing powder. Tap off the excess. Heat with a heat gun. Glue the large heart to the card center at an angle, with the top curves hanging off the left and top edges. Cut the middle out of the small heart and mat on white cardstock with 1/16” borders. Glue to the bottom left.
- Stamp the BeBunni stamp on white cardstock. Color with Spectrum Noir pens as follows: Bunny: IG1, IG2, IG4, Ears: PP1, FS2, FS6, Letters: DR5, DR7, CR8. After coloring, cut close to the image’s edge. Use VersaMark™ on the small heart, and dust with Red Glitter embossing powder. Tap off the excess. Heat with a heat gun. Foam tape to a 3½” square of Hopscotch light blue dot paper that has been matted on red cardstock with 1/16” borders. Glue to the bottom right corner, overlapping the heart.
- Stamp “I Love you to…” in red on white cardstock. Stamp the stitched frame around the words in black ink. Cut close to the edge. Foam tape to the middle of the large heart. Stamp Love & Kisses in black on white cardstock. Trim close to the words, and mat on red cardstock. Foam tape to the left panel.
